Bird of the month: December 2015

This month has been strange for December, I have seen a Red Admiral butterfly on one of the shortest days and some of the daffodils have already flowered. It has also brought heavy rain (luckily not near Sussex!). This is almost definitely due to the bizarre weather.

This month, as I haven't been out much, so the bird of the month is the Robin, after my Sonnet poem (see here).

The Robin is iconic around this time of year, as it is seems to be connected with Christmas.

Cool fact: During winter, the robin is the only bird that sings!
